Essential oils are volatile substances existing in different plant organs and are so named due to its lipophilic composition chemically different from vegetable oils and fats [1]. Due to its physical and chemical characteristics and different bioactive properties, currently very studied, essential oils are being widely applied in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries. These organic, pure and highly potent substances, are considered the soul of the plant and are the main biochemical components of therapeutic action of medicinal and aromatic plants.
Production of citrus essential oils is increasing, and Brazil already is among the four major producers [2]. In this context, Cisol do Brasil is proud to be an important contributor in the production of citrus essential oils in the country.
